• Dr. Kazerooni, Professor and Associate Chief Clinical Officer at the University of Michigan Medical Group provided an overview of the upcoming lung cancer screening HEDIS measure.

Using Communication to Increase Lung Cancer Screening Action in Rural Populations

• Presented by: Dannell Boatman, EdD, MS
• Dr. Dannell Boatman from the West Virginia University Cancer Institute shared insights and lessons learned from promoting lung cancer screening in Appalachia.

Improving Lung Cancer Screening with Rural FQHC, Community Advocacy Group, and Community Outreach and Engagement

• Presented by: Karin Denes-Collar, LSCSW
• Partnerships were the key to success in a recent project to increase lung cancer screening rates in a federally qualified health center setting. Karin Denes-Collar, Associate Director and Psychosocial Services Director at the Masonic Cancer Alliance, shared just how powerful partnerships can be in the field of cancer prevention.
