Hosted on March 20, 2025, Anya Karavanov, PhD and Lorrie Graaf, RN, NACDD Public Health Consultants shared information about a new NACDD initiative: the Young Breast Cancer Survivors project. 
The project improves support services and educational resources for young Black breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer patients. One of the project’s goals is to foster collaborative relationships with comprehensive cancer control programs and coalitions to promote initiatives that support young breast cancer survivors across the United States. 
 
To help NACDD understand breast cancer survivorship strategies that are included in state cancer plans, meeting participants got to share information about their state plans and participate in a discussion.
