Bio

Julie Dudley, MPA, brings more than 20 years of public health experience to NACDD. In her role within the NACDD Center for Public Health Leadership, she focuses on leadership and organizational capacity development and facilitates connections between practitioners and researchers to advance community informed and evidence-based public health practice. 

Julie worked with the Florida Department of Health for 13 years, serving in multiple roles: as a program manager for multiple federal and state-funded prevention programs, including the Florida Asthma Program; as an advisor on policy, accreditation, and quality improvement; as a section administrator; and as director of Florida’s statewide, multi-sector, chronic disease prevention initiative. 

Prior to her work with the State of Florida, she served at the local level as an AmeriCorps member, partnering with the Allegheny County Health Department in Pittsburgh, PA to address lead poisoning and other housing-related health issues.

She lives in beautiful Morgantown, West Virginia with her husband, son and dog.
